Challenge: Our clients moved into a beautiful new home in San Clemente, CA. The living room was a good size but the fireplace had a very tall mantle and an oversized hearth. This made it impossible to hang a TV and took up a ton of unnecessary space.

Our Solution: We reduced the overall incombustible surfaces to the minimum size allowed per code. We replaced the original mantle with a reclaimed wood mantle. We ran an outlet behind the TV so it could be hung with no wires showing. We added custom-made alder stock floating shelves to achieve minimalist look. We can’t take any design cred on this one. Our client came to us with some creative ideas and it sure looks good.
